This bronze sculpture brings interwoven volumes together in a continuous, flowing form. The composition alludes abstractly to the duality of Yin and Yang: two curved elements complement and contain one another in balance. Its polished surface and closed shape convey unity, introspection and perpetual movement.
Here, Espona uses sculptural form to express a philosophical idea: opposites forming part of a harmonious whole. The work is both a visual metaphor and a reflection on inner and universal balance.
The piece belongs to Espona’s body of symbolic sculptures, in which spiritual and philosophical ideas take shape through his handling of volume and curve. Its title refers both to the Eastern symbol and to the ideas of cycles and infinity that recur in his mature work.
